Named after one of the oldest and most lustful streets in Paris, Rue St.Denis first opened on the Upper West Side of Manhattan in 1990, and has since become a landmark of the vintage scene in New York City. We are now located in the East Village. They are known for their authentic, unworn vintage clothing for both men and women, ranging from the 1950's to the 1980's with emphasis on 1960's and 70's. Every piece in their collection is hand-selected and curated by owner and buyer Jean-Paul, who travels throughout Europe and the US in order to find unique styles and bring them back into the spotlight. One of their specialties is the large collection of unworn, vintage men's suits - some of which are notable European and American labels. They believe that bringing life back to former styles is a terrific way of satisfying the ongoing hunt for individuality and "the new" in our rapidly transforming culture.
